The pianist Ivan Ilic plays some great masterpieces for piano

Born in 1978 in Palo Alto, California, he began his musical studies when he had six years only, making his debut at the age of eleven. He graduated from the Berkley University of California in mathematics and music and deepened his study of the piano first at the Conservatory of San Francisco and, later, at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, where he deserved a Premier Prix. He made his debuts in Boston, Washington, Dublin, Bristol, Glasgow and Cardiff; his upcoming engagements will take him to New York, London, Dublin, Toronto and Rom. Ivan Ilić has chosen to perform mainly as a soloist, standing out in the interpretation of French authors such as Claude Debussy (the CD dedicated to his Préludes was praised by Gramophone magazine and Classique News and was also recognized as one of the five best Cds of the year by the American magazine Fanfare). His repertoire also extends to other authors, such as Bach, Handel, Haydn, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms and Ravel. We highlight an interesting article, about the Etudes of Chopin transcribed for left hand alone by L. Godowsky and interpreted by the same Ivan Ilic, appeared in the Daily Telegraph and available at his link.
