Until December 5, the city of Trento hosts the 39th edition of Trento Musicantica, an international Festival that each year invites audiences to explore the fascinating world of early music through concerts, special projects, and opportunities for reflection.

Titled Giubilar cantando, the 2025 program offers a musical journey that intertwines art, history, and spirituality, highlighting three major anniversaries: the Jubilee of Hope, the 500th anniversary of the birth of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, and the 300th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Scarlatti.

The Festival, curated by Danilo Curti, Roberto Gianotti, and Marco Gozzi, is organized by the Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara and the Laurence K.J. Feininger Centre of Excellence, which for many years has been a leading institution for the study and dissemination of early music.

Halfway through its calendar, Trento Musicantica confirms its international vocation and its deep connection with the city, hosting concerts in some of Trento’s most evocative historic locations, from the Castello del Buonconsiglio, the Festival’s main venue since its origins, to the Abbey of San Lorenzo and the Church of San Francesco Saverio.
