In Milan, inside the Deposito of Fondazione Prada, one of the most anticipated events of the musical autumn is underway: the new edition of the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy, this year entirely dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 'Don Giovanni'. Until 30 November 2025, the public has the opportunity to attend lessons, rehearsals and sessions led by Maestro Muti, experiencing from within the interpretative process behind one of the great masterpieces of opera.
A previously unperformed opera by Antonio Smareglia, a tribute to major opera figures, and a series of events dedicated to the renowned librettist Luigi Illica: from 9 to 12 July 2025, Castell’Arquato (PC) will become a charming open-air stage for the twelfth edition of the Festival Illica, under the artistic direction of Jacopo Brusa.
On Saturday 12 July 2025 St. Mark’s Square will once again turn into an open-air stage to host Cavalleria rusticana by Pietro Mascagni: a major event presented by Teatro La Fenice, conducted by Rico Saccani and featuring an internationally acclaimed cast. An unmissable evening in the heart of Venice, where history, music and passion meet.
The Teatro La Fenice of Venice has presented the new 2025–2026 Season, which promises to be extremely rich: 11 opera titles, 4 ballets, over 60 symphonic and chamber concerts, and a series of special events that celebrate history, contemporaneity, and interpretative excellence. Worth noting is the great return of Riccardo Muti, who will conduct the Orchestra of La Fenice once again.
